Italy to Nominate Piero Cipollone for ECB Instead of Daniele Franco

Bank of Italy Deputy Governor Piero Cipollone is his country’s nominee for European Central Bank instead of his former colleague Daniele Franco.

No other candidate from another euro-area nation was proposed by the Wednesday deadline, Eurogroup President Paschal Donohoe said in a statement.
